Kota Kinabalu Waterfront for luxury seafood |
Where the locals buy seafood, just 100 metres away from the luxury area.
Where the locals get to eat the seafood cooked to their specifications.
Multiple stalls cooking and selling the seafood.
A more Chinese Tzi Char style "Shuang Tian".
Dried seafood to add flavor to dishes.
There are many islands for quick day trip island hoppings. All the beaches are beautiful, the water clear.
Only issue I see is the toilets which are horrid. I am forever trumatised by the sight of 5 toilets overflowing with S*** and blood on the shower drain. Its like a crime scene. Other than that, the place is picture perfect.
There are many Chinese in KK, hence the rather old school places here.
We also went to a long house that offers home stay for like $100 RM a day, with meals. Nice cool bamboo homes that inspires Kungfu shows with it's multiple bamboo pavillion. The rooms are partitioned, although very little privacy is provided.

The Edge of Borneo. |
We didn't climb the mountain, but getting there was the fun for us already. Pretty nice mashmellow clouds.
The cool weather. Long windy road. What's not to like?
One of the recommended restaurants. Ok lah, at least the locals eat here too.
